I have lived on Dolphin Place for two years now. My husband Chris and I moved here from Twisp in the Methow Valley where we spent half the year and from Kapaau on the Big island of Hawaii where we spent the colder half of the year. I also homesteaded on Waldron Island for many years where I gained a real appreciation for the Salish Sea’s beaches. I volunteered for the CBA board because I would like to get to know my neighbors! I have had previous board experience and I am a retired filmmaker so I have lots of skills to offer the organization. I really appreciate the access we have to the five unique beaches of the CBA. I paddle board and kayak from beach 2 but often walk to beaches 4 & 5 just to enjoy them.
Please contact me by phone or by the CBA website Gmail address above if you have any general CBA questions or concerns.
Membership Coordinator 2021-22: Hana Beaman

My name is Hana Beaman!
I have lived in the Chuckanut area since 2014 and live off of Hiline/Cleater Road. I’ve made my way to this special place over the years from Big Bear Lake, CA by chasing winter all over the mountains of California, Utah and BC as a Professional Snowboarder. Bellingham captured my heart back in 2010 while visiting a friend and I stumbled upon my current home here in the Chuckanut area after a routine hike with her up to Fragrance Lake. Even with all the traveling I’ve done this special little nook of the world has captured my heart and truly feels home. I love all the activity access, especially the beaches ;) and the community of people it attracts.
During my summers I work as a real estate agent here in town and I am also a newly recruited Volunteer Firefighter with South Whatcom Fire Authority.
I look forward to serving my term on the board and hopefully meeting more of my neighbors!
Vice President 2021-22: Hannah Drager
Most of the time I’ve lived in Bellingham has been on Whitecap Road, which for myself as a midwestern transplant has been a wondrous introduction to the Pacific Northwest.
Watching the flow of seasons and wildlife from our window or trail or boat is something I appreciate daily about our neighborhood. Each spring finds me scheming and planting something else to attract more wildlife to the yard, to the mutual enjoyment of our extremely retired ex-racing Greyhounds.
I’m eager to apply my project coordinator skills and “figure it out” enthusiasm to this role, and am glad for the opportunity to plug into our community.
Treasurer 2021-22: Cody Swan
I moved to Bellingham in 2007 from Michigan and have lived on Whitecap since 2011 and don’t see myself leaving the area anytime soon. I enjoy running/hiking in the Chuckanuts, crabbing in the bay, swimming at Beach 2, and the general aesthetic of the area. My family, Karla, Elliot and Isla frequent the beaches especially in the summertime and for this reason I felt that it would be good stewardship to involve myself a little more and nominate myself for the Board. I also believe that it will be a good way to meet more people within the community.
Secretary 2021-22: Kristy Zeidner
I am happy to be volunteering to fulfill the Secretary role for the Chuckanut Beaches Association. I have lived on the Chuckanut for the last 15 years or so and I love it here. I think the community beaches make where we live especially great. I thought joining the Chuckanut Beaches Association would be a nice way to meet some more of my neighbors. I look forward to enjoying more time at the beaches as the summer is on the way!
